Cataracts, clouding of the natural lens of the eye, are the leading cause of vision loss in adults age 55 and older, and the leading cause of blindness worldwide, according to the National Institutes of Health.
Glaucoma Care
Glaucoma can be a gradual, progressive disease, or it can be a quick and sudden process. Some people may experience blurred vision, distorted vision, compromised peripheral vision, or vision loss. However, glaucoma typically has no symptoms in its early stages

Palm Harbor Eye Care and Laser Centre provides quality care and patient service. We are a full-service ophthalmology practice. For nearly 40 years, our ophthalmologists have provided expert eye care to our community. Our superior standards are proven by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Our board-certified physician team has specialists for patients from pediatric through senior years. We cover all vision needs, from comprehensive eye exams to more complex eye issues such as cataracts, retinal diseases (diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration), flashes or floaters, glaucoma, dry eye care and low vision rehabilitation. We offer comprehensive eye exams and surgical laser treatment for glaucoma and cataracts. We partner with several optical shops in the Palm Harbor area who offer an array of basic and designer frames, contact lenses, and vision nutritional supplements.
